By golly, yellow is difficult. This was a squad that I really came to hate. I never felt like I was getting closer to getting it right. In the end I gave up and hurried my way through, just being thankful that I was a squad closer to finishing painting my Betrayal At Calth minis and that was that.
This was also the first time I’ve used transfers. That was a lesson too.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy the process mate. I like em. I’ve never used transfers, not for GW gear anyway.

Scrolling down your intro, I was prepared for a right stinker, but they’ve come out alright. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Yeah, yellow is a sod… or a clean ‘Golden Daemon’ style is tough in yellow anyway. Looks like it turned out ok to me though mate, and you can always come back to them to tidy up any bits you spot. The impact of a large group is undiminished in the meantime 🙂

Yellow is tough, but these are pretty good. I have never found a “good” way of setting decals on marine shoulder pads, but if you get Micro-Sol from a scale model shop and follow the directions it will dissolve the decal slightly and set it to the shape of the surface it is on, and you then just tidy it up with a bit of paint.
